The independent seller shown on the order is responsible for cancellations, returns, repairs, replacements, warranties and refunds for its products. Each seller must publish lawful terms and a returns policy. Seller terms may give buyers additional rights but may not take away statutory rights.

How to request a return or refund

1. Open the order and contact the seller with the order number and requested remedy.
2. Describe the issue and provide photographs or other reasonable evidence where relevant.
3. Follow the seller’s lawful return instructions; do not return goods to Owlytic’s office.
4. If the seller does not respond or the outcome remains unresolved, email the record to hello@whereabouts.co.za.

Defective, unsafe or misdescribed goods

Remedies for defective, unsafe, poor-quality or misdescribed goods are determined by applicable consumer law and cannot be reduced by a seller’s policy. Report safety issues immediately and stop using an unsafe item.

Change-of-mind and cooling-off rights

A change-of-mind return is available only where the seller’s published policy or applicable law provides it. Where the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act gives a consumer a cooling-off right for an electronic transaction, the applicable statutory period, exclusions and reasonable direct return costs apply.

Refund route and timing

Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment route. Processing time can depend on PayFast and the buyer’s bank. Owlytic may hold or deduct seller settlement to process a valid refund. This administrative role does not transfer the seller’s underlying product obligation to Owlytic.

Advertising and direct Owlytic services

Advertising cancellations and credits are governed by the Advertising Terms. A custom design or advertising service already performed cannot be treated as an unused physical product. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
